discoverIE Group plc (DSCV.L), a designer and manufacturer of customised electronic components, on Friday reported stronger trading in the fourth quarter, with demand accelerating across all operating units.

Group sales in the quarter rose 6% at constant exchange rates and 5% organically, with acquisitions contributing 1%. Orders increased more sharply, up 16% at constant exchange rates and 15% organically, exceeding sales for the third consecutive quarter as customers boosted near-term demand and extended order visibility.

For the full year, group sales grew 5%, with organic growth of 2% and a 3% contribution from acquisitions.

Full-year orders increased 9% at constant exchange rates and 5% organically, remaining ahead of sales, while the group order book rose 6% over the first half.

The company is scheduled to report its preliminary fourth-quarter results on June 3.
