Hotel Shilla Co.,Ltd (008775.KS) on Friday reported a return to profitability in the first quarter, mainly supported by improved sales.
Profit before tax from continuing operations came in at KRW 11.976 billion, compared with a loss of KRW 4.294 billion a year earlier.
Operating income stood at KRW 20.415 billion, reversing a loss of KRW 2.470 billion in the prior-year period.
Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company was KRW 5.998 billion, compared with a loss of KRW 6.180 billion a year earlier.
Sales rose 8.4% to KRW 1.0535 trillion from KRW 971.789 billion last year.
