Sensient Technologies Stock Gains 14% Over Higher Earnings In Q1

Stock of Sensient Technologies Corporation (SXT) is moving up about 14 percent on Friday morning trading after the company announced first-quarter earnings of $44.17 million, or $1.04 per share, compared with $34.46 million, or $0.81 per share, last year.

The company's shares are currently trading at $113.98 on the New York Stock Exchange, up 14.83 percent. The stock opened at $108.47 and has climbed as high as $117.52 so far in today's session. Over the past year, it has traded in a range of $80.00 to $121.54.
