The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
The JCI finished modestly lower on Monday following mixed performances from the financial shares, cement companies and resource stocks. For the day, the index fell 22.97 points or 0.32 percent to finish at the daily low of 7,106.52 after peaking at 7,230.03.
