Telecom Plus Plc (TEP.L) Tuesday said that its adjusted pre-tax profit for fiscal 2026 is projected to come in at the bottom end of the earlier-mentioned outlook range of 132 million pounds to 138 million pounds. This is a result of reduced energy consumption during an unseasonably warm winter, the company said in an official statement.
On the LSE, TEP.L is currently down 11.4 percent on Tuesday's trading at 1,266.00 pence.
The British multi-service utility provider said that customer numbers rose 23.3 percent to 1.43 million compared to 1.16 million last year. Organic customer growth was strong, rising by 10.3 percent to 1.26 million from 1.14 million.
Telecom Plus said that the total number of services provided grew by 12.1 percent to 3.80 million, up from 3.39 million in the previous year. On an organic basis, service numbers increased by 7.6 percent. Additionally, customers acquired from TalkTalk contributed an increase of 193,000 broadband services, it added.
The company will declare its full-year 2026 results on June 23.
