Nu-metal pioneers KoRn recently released a new single, "Reward the Scars," marking their first new music since 2022, when they released their fourteenth studio album Requiem.
The song, featuring production from Nick Raskulinecz, was recorded by the band for the Diablo IV video game expansion Lord Of Hatred, which is due out on Tuesday (April 28).
"Hey you, won't you come around, I drop down/ Hey you, looking underground, I confound," the first verse goes. "I've had enough of you/ There's nothing you can do/ Hey you, don't you come at me suddenly."
The chorus goes like this, "Help me free the ones I saved/ And I can walk the path that's laid/ Break me, take me all the way soul betrayed (Go!)."
The band's guitarist Brian "Head" Welch told Loudwire earlier this year that a new studio album wasn't a priority for the band, which was choosing to focus on live shows.
However, he teased potential drops such as "Reward the Scars," stating, "There could be a couple of surprises this year … We're going to have some cool announcements for dates around the world and stuff coming this year."
