Losing Streak May Continue For Singapore Stock Market

The Singapore stock market has tracked lower in five straight sessions, slumping almost 115 points or 2.4 percent in that span. The Straits Times Index now rests just beneath the 4,890-point plateau and it may take further damage again on Wednesday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative on weakness among the tech shares and because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its effect on oil prices. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were down and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
