Pop supearstar Ariana Grande has announced a new studio album, petal, due out July 31 via Republic.
petal was executive-produced and co-written by Grande and Ilya Salmanzadeh.
According to the album's countdown page on Spotify, the record will feature 12 tracks. In a press release, Grande said that petal is "something that is full of life" about "growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging."
petal follows Grande's seventh studio album, 2024's Eternal Sunshine, which was released on March 8, 2024, by Republic Records. It was written and produced by Grande, Max Martin, Ilya Salmanzadeh, and Oscar Görres amongst others.
The album had opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking Grande's sixth No. 1 on the chart, while charting all of its tracks on the Billboard Hot 100. Two tracks from the album, "Yes, And?" and "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)," debuted atop the Hot 100.
