Krafton Inc. (259960.KS), a South Korean video game company, reported Thursday significantly higher profit and sales in its first quarter.
In the first quarter, net income attributable to shareholders of parent company climbed 38.4 percent to 514.8 billion Korean won from last year's 372.0 billion won.
Operating income increased 22.8 percent to 561.6 billion won from 457.3 billion won a year ago.
Sales surged 56.9 percent to 1.37 trillion won from 874.2 billion won in the prior year.
In South Korea, the shares closed Thursday's regular trading 4.5 percent lower, at 265,000.00 won.
