Statkraft AS (XS277979233.MU) on Thursday reported higher first-quarter earnings, mainly driven by improved revenues, supported by significantly higher Nordic power prices despite lower production.
Profit before tax rose to NOK 15.212 billion from NOK 11.276 billion in the prior-year quarter.
Operating profit increased to NOK 9.645 billion from NOK 6.844 billion a year earlier.
Underlying operating profit was NOK 11.590, up from NOK 9.023 billion.
Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company increased to NOK 7.773 billion from NOK 6.610 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.
Underlying EBITDA rose to NOK 13.329 billion from NOK 10.867 billion last year.
Sales revenue grew to NOK 29.107 billion from NOK 25.315 billion a year earlier.
Underlying net operating revenues and other income improved to NOK 18.140 billion from NOK 15.764 billion.
