Anthrax have announced their long-awaited 12th album, Cursum Perficio, set to drop on September 18.
The album will mark the band's first full-length studio project in over a decade. Cursum Perficio follows Anthrax's For All Kings, which the thrash giants released in February 2016.
The band will release the album's lead single, "It's for the Kids," on Friday, May 15.
The mixing sessions, as well as some of the recording sessions, for the LP took place at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Northridge, California. Anthrax worked with producer Jay Ruston, who previously helmed 2016's For All Kings and 2011's Worship Music.
"Cursum Perficio" is the Latin phrase inscribed on a crest at the doorstep of Marilyn Monroe's final home, a Spanish Colonial hacienda at 12305 Fifth Helena Drive in Brentwood, Los Angeles, which she purchased in 1962.
While often interpreted as "My journey ends," the phrase actually means "I will persevere" or "I am completing my journey."
