Multi-platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated recording artist mgk and Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa have reunited to drop their joint single "girl next door."
With dreamy melodies and a driving beat, the new song evokes warm nights and shared vibes — perfect timing as Wiz gets ready to join mgk on the second North American leg of his lost americana tour, which kicked off on Friday.
Tickets and additional information on mgk's lost americana tour can be found here.
Produced by close mgk collaborators SlimXX, BazeXX, and No Love For The Middle Child, "girl next door" samples indie electronic duo Sweet Trip and fuses hazy dream-pop with dance-floor synths and propulsive drums. mgk and Wiz once again show off their dynamism as performers, sliding between high-energy bars and melodic moments.
It's the duo's first song together since their 2013 fan-favorite collab "Mind of a Stoner." The "girl next door" video was directed by mgk's longtime videographer Sam Cahill alongside Gianni Paolo, and featuring Lindsey Fishman, Naomi Baker, and Trevor Wallace.
