Packaging Group Smurfit Westrock Plc (SWR.L) said on Wednesday it plans to delist from the London Stock Exchange, making New York its sole listing venue.
The company said it will ask the UK Financial Conduct Authority to cancel the listing of its ordinary shares and the LSE to cancel admission to trading on its main market.
The delisting is expected to take effect at 8:00 am UK time on June 22, with the last day of trading on June 19.
Smurfit Westrock said the decision followed a review of its LSE listing announced on April 30.
It cited the level of trading activity on the LSE and the cost and regulatory obligations of retaining the listing.
After the delisting, the company will trade solely on the New York Stock Exchange.
On the LSE, shares of Smurfit Westrock were up 0.34 percent, changing hands at 2,689.00 pence.
