Jade Biosciences, Inc. (JBIO), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, on Monday reported positive interim results from a Phase 1 trial evaluating JADE101 for the treatment of immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN). The company's shares were up more than 10% in pre-market trading.

The study is designed to evaluate the safety and tolerability, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of single ascending subcutaneous doses of JADE101 in healthy volunteers.

Results from the study showed that a single dose of JADE101 achieved about 70% reductions in immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels that were sustained for 12 weeks. At steady state, JADE101 maintained IgA reductions of more than 70% with a single subcutaneous maintenance injection every 12 weeks.

Further, IgA-lowering effect appeared faster, deeper, and more durable than that observed with first-generation anti-APRIL (A Proliferation-Inducing Ligand) or dual APRIL/BAFF ( B cell activating factor) therapies. JADE101 was also well tolerated across all dose levels evaluated in the study.

The company expects interim data from its ongoing Phase 2 IgA nephropathy trial in 2027.

A Phase 3 registrational trial is expected to begin in the first half of 2027.

JBIO closed at $21.04, on Friday, up 0.96%.
