Currys plc (CURY.L), an omnichannel retailer of technology products and services, on Wednesday said it has appointed Fredrik Tønnesen as group chief executive officer, effective August 3, 2026.
Tønnesen succeeds Alex Baldock, who will step down from the board on the same date.
Fredrik has been the CEO of the company's Nordics business since March 2023, overseeing operations that account for about 40% of the group's revenue. He brings more than 20 years of experience with the company, having started as a sales assistant before serving in roles including managing director for Norway and Nordics chief operating officer.
