Evaxion A/S (EVAX) on Thursday announced new preclinical data for EVX-04, its investigational therapeutic vaccine for acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Developed using the company's AI-Immunology platform, EVX-04 targets multiple non-conventional endogenous retrovirus (ERV) tumor antigens derived from the "dark genome," a largely unexplored portion of the human genome.
The new data showed that EVX-04 is fully expressed in human cells, with correct transcription and translation. The study also demonstrated that the vaccine is secreted in human cells, a feature that supports immune system recognition and activation.
According to the company, the vaccine antigens generated specific immune responses across diverse human immune profiles and induced targeted killing of cancer cells.
Evaxion said the findings will be presented in a poster session at the European Hematology Association 2026 Congress, which will be held in Stockholm on June 13, 2026.
Evaxion shares rose more than 5% in after-hours trading after closing at $3.79 on Wednesday.
