Country music star Koe Wetzel has released a new album, The Night Champion, via Columbia Records.

"I feel like right now I'm the best version of myself I've ever been," Wetzel said. "I survived the night side of me. I'm coming out of it a champion. That's the essence of this record."

The album features 11 tracks, including the previously released singles "Hurts Like You," "Time Goes On," "Dollar and a Bottle" and "Surrounded."

Wetzel told PEOPLE that the project is less a direct celebration of success and more a reflection on everything it took for him to achieve the mental clarity he has today.

"The whole outlook on it was this kind of being the closing of a book instead of a chapter in the book," Wetzel said. "It was wrapping up everything from the Noise Complaint record and every record in between and all the stuff that went on in between to get to where we're at now."

The Night Champion Tracklist:

"Sinner" (Wetzel, Gabe Simon, Carrie K, Steph Jones, Josh Serrato)
"Circus" (Sam Harris)
"Hurts Like You" (Wetzel, Ashley Gorley, Gabe Simon, Carrie K, Steph Jones)
"When I'm Gone" (Wetzel, Amy Allen, Gabe Simon, Carrie K, Josh Serrato)
