Rod Wave has announced that his next album, Don't Look Down, is set to arrive on August 28 via Alamo Records.
Wave released a trailer to coincide with the announcement, which takes place at a funeral and finds the singer plotting with his crew.
He is pulled aside by a man who tells him, "I know this is heavy. I got you. And regarding the business, I'ma take care of everything, man. You take your time, alright? I gotchu."
"From now on, forever, no more sneaky business, no more side deals, cutting out the middle man. Just keep building our own machine. We just keep going and we don't look down," he says.
The trailer closes with a preview of a soulful track that appears to be on Don't Look Down. A press release confirms that a single is "coming soon." "I am the chosen one/ The only one they banking on/ Real s**t that raw s**t they waiting on," he croons.
Wave has also announced his plans to embark on a tour across North America, called the "Don't Look Down Tour."
The tour kicks off on September 12 in Philadelphia, rolls through the South, Midwest, East Coast, and West Coast, and closes out in Atlanta on November 18.
