Apogee Therapeutics Inc. (APGE) is all set to be acquired by AbbVie (ABBV) for $135.11 per share in cash, equivalent to a total equity value of approximately $10.9 billion.

Apogee's lead asset, Zumilokibart (APG777), is a late-stage, half-life-extended monoclonal antibody targeting IL-13, in development for patients with atopic dermatitis. Its pipeline also includes combinations of its novel antibodies and APG273, a potential best-in-category long-acting combination targeting IL-13 and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), which is being developed in asthma.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
