Idorsia Ltd. (IDIA.SW), a biopharmaceutical company, on Wednesday announced the appointment of Roland Wandeler to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from October 1, 2026.
Wandeler will succeed Jean-Paul Clozel, who has served as ad-interim CEO since the departure of former CEO Srishti Gupta in March 2026. Clozel will stay on in the company, helming the position of Chairman of the Board.
Wandeler himself is a fair veteran of the business, with over 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical space. He previously held significant leadership roles at Amgen and MorphoSys and is currently the President of Biopharma at Grifols. Prior to this, he served as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.
Wandeler is expected to oversee the company's advancement of QUVIVIQ in treating insomnia, TRYVIO in treating hypertension, and lucrestat in treating Fabray disease.
Additionally, the company also announced the appointments of Dominique le Terrier as Head of Global Commercial Strategy and New Product Planning and Begona Carreno-Gomez as Chief Business Development Officer, effective from November 1 of this year.
IDIA.SW closed Tuesday on the SIX Swiss Stock Exchange at CHF 6.87, down 0.36%.
