Wet Seal, Inc. (WTSLA) on Thursday said it appointed Edmond Thomas as its new president and chief executive officer under a three year contract. Thomas is currently President and co-chief executive officer of Tilly's Inc., a privately owned company. Thomas is also currently a director of Trans-World Entertainment and Directed Electronics, both NASDAQ companies. The company expects Thomas to join it in early October and Joel Waller, the current Chairman and chief executive officer to step down from those roles.
