Washington Group International Inc. (WNG) announced that it has been selected by independent power producer Taiwan Cogeneration Corporation to provide project-management consulting services in support of construction of a 490-megawatt power plant in western Taiwan. The gas-fired, combined-cycle Star Buck power plant is being built within the Chang-Bin Coastal Industrial Park in Chang-Hua County and is scheduled to begin commercial operation in June 2009.
