Praxair, Inc. (PX) on Tuesday said it nominated Nance Dicciani, president and chief executive officer of Honeywell Specialty Materials, for election to the Praxair Board of Directors. The company noted that she would join the board effective September 1, 2008 if the shareholders elects her at Praxair's annual meeting in April.Praxair added that President George Bush, in 2006, appointed Dicciani to the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. She also currently serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the American Chemistry Council and has chaired the board's Research Committee.
