Monday, SR Telecom (SRX.TO) said that it signed an asset purchase agreement with Sherbrooke, Quebec-based Groupe Lagasse for the purchase of the majority of SR Telecom's assets, including its WiMAX Forum-certified symmetryMX product line, for a consideration of $6.05 million. The transaction is expected to close on or before April 4. The deal, once completed, will offer continuity for SR Telecom's international customer base and permit the company to grow and capitalize on its many WiMAX opportunities.
