URS Corp. (URS) announced that a team led by the Company has been awarded the contract to manage the remediation of the U.S. Department of Energy's or DOE radioactive and hazardous underground waste tanks located on the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state.
The performance based, cost-plus award-fee contract, valued by the DOE at about $7.1 billion, covers a five-year base performance period and an additional five-year option.
