Friday, BAE Systems Plc (BA.L) said it has completed its acquisition of Tenix Defence after receiving all required approvals, for up to A$775 million in cash.
As part of the acquisition, Tenix Defence will be integrated with the operations of BAE Systems Australia, headquartered in Adelaide.
In a separate release, BAE Systems announced that it appointed Ian King as chief executive, effective 1 September 2008.
Ian King has been chief operating officer of BAE Systems, with responsibility for the company's UK and Rest of World businesses, and a Director of the company, since January 2007.
