Domino's Pizza 13-week Like-for-like sales in 501 mature stores up 9.3% - Quick Facts

Domino's Pizza UK & IRL Plc (DOM.L) in its interim management statement it said has continued to see good momentum in the business.

Like-for-like sales for the 13-week period to 29 March 2009 in the 501 mature stores were up 9.3%.

System sales for the period grew 17.6% to £101.1 million from £86.0 milion in the prior year.

E-commerce continued to grow strongly with online sales for the period up 31.7% to £16.6 million from £12.6 million last year and accounting for 23.6% of UK delivered sales.

The company also said it has opened 10 new stores since the beginning of the year creating around 300 new jobs in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The company had a total of 563 stores as at 29 March 2009. Moving ahead, it is well positioned to achieve its target of 50 new store openings this year.
