Bebe Stores Inc. (BEBE) reported a third quarter net loss of $0.06 per share after the bell Thursday, compared to a profit of $0.09 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for a loss of $0.08. Fourth quarter EPS is expected to come in between $0.02 and $0.10, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.03.
Bebe Stores Inc. gapped up Thursday and has since climbed sharply. The stock is now up 1.18 at $9.45 and has risen above a 2-week range, to set a 7-month high.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
