American Capital Agency (AGNC) announced after the bell Monday that its Board of Directors declared a $1.50 per share cash dividend for the second quarter 2009. The dividend is payable on July 27, 2009 to common shareholders of record as of July 2, 2009. American Capital Agency gapped up sharply Tuesday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed up by $1.56 at $22.15 on the highest volume in over 4 months. Shares have been rising for the last week and a half and finished Tuesday at a new high for the year.
