Dr. Dre released his debut solo album, "The Chronic," on December 15, 1992.Coming out soon after Dre left gangsta rap pioneers N.W.A., the album heavily featured newcomer Snoop Dogg, who would become a star in his own right with the release of his solo debut the following year. "The Chronic" featured such songs as "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" and "Let Me Ride."It would be seven years before Dr. Dre put out a full-length follow-up to "The Chronic." The album, called "2001," would be his last for more than a decade, though Dre is scheduled to release a new solo LP, "Detox."
