Willie Nelson’s tour bus collided with the driver of an oncoming car in Riverdale, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 1, 1990. According to police reports, the driver of the car lost control after hitting slush and slammed into Nelson’s bus.Nelson was on the bus at the time of the collision and no one on board was injured. The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Paul Leonard Burtch, was dead by the time responders hit the scene. The accident occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway approximately six miles east of Truro, Nova Scotia. Wilson was among four passengers on the bus and was riding toward Newfoundland as part of a tour of Eastern Canada.
