Katy Perry Reaches Number One With 'Teenage Dream' Single Four Years Ago

Disturbed hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart with their fifth studio release “Asylum” on September 18, 2010. The album followed their 2008 effort “Indestructible” and features the singles “Another Way to Die,” “The Animal,” “Asylum” and “Warrior.”

When the release hit number one, it claimed the top spot from “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry. They held on until “Kaleidoscope Heart” by Sara Bareilles eventually slid into the top position. The album received largely positive reviews, with Chris Colgan of PopMatters writing:

"If Ten Thousand Fists is the large tiger of Disturbed's discography, oversized with more muscle than necessary, and Indestructible is the lean jaguar, fine-cut to just the foundation and essentials, then Asylum is the lion, king of the jungle, perfectly balanced in both core strength and added power to create the purest musical engine for emotional expression."
