Ø The hot and happening Chinese economy, despite blowing hot and cold, in recent quarters, is still fetching a quarter of the company’s total net sales. The region named as Greater China, comprising Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, contributed roughly 25 percent to the total fiscal year second quarter revenues of $50.56 billion, down from a 29 percent contribution in the year-ago quarter.

Ø Political resistance to products and services of Western companies pose a greater threat to their survival and growth than the macroeconomic headwinds.

Ø Recently China blocked its citizens from accessing iTune Movies and iBooks, which not only deprives it of services-related revenues but also dampens demand for its hardware.
