According to Forbes, she is the richest woman in the technology industry. 53-year-old Laurene was born in the U.S., and is a management graduate from Stanford University. She has worked in various well known finance companies and also founded a company. She inherited her fortune when her husband Steve Jobs passed away in 2011. In February 2017, Laurene halved her stake in Disney. She had been married to Steve Jobs for twenty years and has three children, a son and two daughters. Laurene founded the Emerson Collective which supports social justice, environmental conservation and education. She is associated with many organizations championing the cause of affordable and innovative education.
