German Economy Expands For 10th Year, Logs Yet Another Budget Surplus

The latest pace of growth was the slowest since 2013, when the economy expanded 0.4 percent.

The economy grew for the tenth year in a row and Destatis said this was the longest growth phase in unified Germany.

However, the 2019 growth rate was smaller than its 10-year average of 1.3 percent.
