The Beastie Boys' Mike D has announced a handful of new shows set for this month in New York and California.
The hip-hop pioneer shared the news of his upcoming performances on Instagram, writing, "Los Angeles and Brooklyn. It's happening. Shows. New music. Switch Up. Let's Go."
He also dropped his first-ever solo track, "Switch Up." The track is the first new music from any member of the legendary rap trio since their final studio album, 2011's Hot Sauce Committee Part Two.
"Switch Up" was first premiered on Thursday night during a sold-out performance at Los Angeles' Plaza Nightclub & Dance Hall.
Mike D's next California show is set for May 10th at Sid the Cat Auditorium. The Brooklyn shows will happen on May 22nd and 23rd at Xanadu Roller Arts in Brooklyn. Tickets are on sale now.
