Amgen Inc.’s (AMGN) Tarlatamab, a bispecific T-cell engager immunotherapy, is under priority review by the FDA, with a decision due on June 12, 2024. Tarlatamab is proposed for the treatment of adult patients with advanced small cell lung cancer (SCLC) with disease progression on or after platinum-based chemotherapy. If approved, Tarlatamab would be the first bispecific t-cell engager (BiTE) therapy for a major solid tumor. Bispecific T-cell Engager (BiTE) technology is a targeted immuno-oncology platform that is designed to engage patient's own T cells to any tumor-specific antigen, activating the cytotoxic potential of T cells to eliminate detectable cancer.AMGN closed Wednesday’s trading at $296.37, down 1.27%.
