Queen's laborious work on it’s mega-hit “Bohemian Rhapsody” began on August 24, 1975. Freddie Mercury conceived the track and the band used four separate studios to record it. Mercury, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor recorded their vocal parts for as many as 12 hours a day. The operatic track took three weeks to record and featured more than 180 overdubs.
