Gainers:

Honeywell International Inc. (HON) is up over 3 percent to $50.12 as its third quarter profit improved from the previous year. Net sales rose 14 percent.

Seagate Technology (STX) is up 14 percent to $13.69. The company's first quarter profit declined from the previous year. Non-GAAP earnings per share were above Wall Street view, while revenues were below consensus.

McDonald's Corp. (MCD) is up nearly 3 percent $91.47 as its third quarter profit increased from the previous year. Total revenues increased 14 percent. Global comparable sales rose 5.0 percent.

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is up 0.22 percent to $27.10. The company's first quarter profit improved from the previous year. The company's earnings per share matched Wall Street view, while revenues were above estimate.

Decliners:

General Electric Co. (GE) is down 1 percent to $16.40. The company's third quarter operating earnings rose 11 percent. The company's net earnings attributable to company surged from the previous year. Total revenues for the quarter remained almost flat.

Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) is down over 2 percent to $66.39 as its third quarter earnings declined from the year-ago quarter. Adjusted earnings per share were below market view.

Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) is down over 1 percent to $36.65. The company's third quarter profit increased 31.3 percent. Operating revenues rose 5.4 percent.

Trading in USA Truck Inc. (USAK) shares was halted. The company slipped to a loss in its third quarter. The company said that the third quarter presented several challenges, including a major operating system transition, softer than expected freight volumes, and a persistently high number of unmanned tractors. The company also announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously decided to decline a meeting with Celadon Group, Inc. at this time.

Hittite Microwave Corp. (HITT) is plunging 11 percent to $47.00. The company's third quarter profit and revenue increased from the prior year. However, revenue were below Wall Street view. The company forecast fourth quarter revenue and earnings per share below consensus.
