Earnings Watch For November 16 (TGT, TYC, HOTT, LTD, AMAT)

Target Corp. (TGT) will post results for the third quarter today. The discount-store retailer is expected to report earnings of $0.74 per share, higher than $0.68 per share earned in the previous year, with revenues estimated at $16.27 billion. On the NYSE, the stock closed Tuesday's session at $53.18. (The stock declined almost 17% in Q1; MA(50)- $52.07; MA(100)- $50.92; 52-wk H/L $60.97/$45.28)

Tyco International Ltd. (TYC) is slated to post fourth-quarter results. The company is expected to record a profit of $0.86 per share compared to $0.74 per share last year, on revenues of $4.51 billion. TYC closed Tuesday's session at $45.79. (The stock rose almost 7% in Q1; MA(50)- $43.60; MA(100)- $43.84; 52-wk H/L $53.38/$37.11)

Hot Topic Inc. (HOTT) is scheduled to report results for the third quarter. Earnings and revenue for the quarter are expected to be $0.07 per share and $179.15 million respectively. Last year, the company earned $0.05 per share on revenues of $183.22 million. The company's shares closed trade on Tuesday at $6.75. (The stock down around 8% in Q1; MA(50)- $7.81; MA(100)- $7.70; 52-wk H/L $8.74/$5.05)

Women's apparel and personal care products retailer Limited Brands, Inc. (LTD) will report its quarterly results today. For the third quarter, earnings are expected to rise to $0.24 per share from $0.18 per share reported a year earlier. Also, the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $2.16 billion, up from $1.98 billion recorded in the prior-year quarter. On Tuesday, the stock closed at $44.21. (The stock up about 8% in Q1; MA(50)- $41.28; MA(100)- $39.20; 52-wk H/L $45.45/$28.05)

Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT) is expected to report fourth-quarter results. The world's biggest semiconductor equipment maker is expected to earn $0.19 per share versus $0.36 per share a year ago, on revenues of $2.15 billion. AMAT closed Tuesday's trade at $12.64. (The stock gained nearly 12% in Q1; MA(50)- $11.43; MA(100)- $11.74; 52-wk H/L $16.93/$9.70)

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF), NetApp, Inc. (NTAP) and PetSmart, Inc. (PETM) are also due to report their results today.
