IHS Inc. (IHS), which provides data on energy and security to governments and large companies, on Wednesday reaffirmed its 2009 revenue guidance, saying it continues to expect revenue growth of 12% to 16% for the year.

From a 2008 base of $844 million, the 12% to 16% growth implies 2009 revenue of $945 million to $979 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect the company to post revenue of $963.36 million for the fiscal year 2009.

In March, the company had cut its 2009 revenue growth forecast to 12% to 16% from its earlier projection of 16% to 18%.
IHS also said Wednesday that it expects to report its second quarter financial results according to its normal schedule in mid-June 2009.

IHS shares are currently trading at $41.60, down $1.20 or 2.80%.
