U2 stopped by the Toronto Film Festival last night in order to lend their support to fellow Irish countryman Colin Farrell. The band made an appearance on the festival's red carpet on their way to see his new film, Ondine.
"Great to be here," Bono said to the reporters. Meanwhile, the Edge displayed his affection for Farrell by insisting, "He's great, he's great."
Farrell explained his relationship with the Irish rockers, "I know them through the years. . .It is very cool for them to be here, I have been a massive fan since I was a kid."
Ondine also star's Colin's pregnant girlfriend Alicja Bachleda and is a mystical film about an Irish fisherman who finds a mermaid-like woman in his fishing net.
The film is directed by another Irishman, Neil Jordan.
