Alstom Projects India said that bagged contracts for Rs.365 crore from Hindalco Industries for supply and installation of four gas treatment plants in India.
The company will design, engineer, supply, install and commission two gas treatment plants each at the Mahan and Aditya aluminum smelters located in Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. The plants are likely to go on-stream in early 2012 and will capture, filter and recycle corrosive gas produced by the smelters, notably hydrogen fluoride, improving air quality and thus confirming to the environmental requirements.
