Walt Disney Co. (DIS) in China Sunday announced the start of production on its third local co-production project in just two years, "DisneyHigh School Musical: China." The movie is planned for cinematic release in summer 2010.
The company said that it is working with local partners Shanghai Media Group, or SMG, and Huayi Brothers Media Corp. The movie is the story of a new student who meets a gifted young man with whom she shares a secret passion for singing.
