BHEL Secures Rs.640 Cr. Repeat Order For Thermal Power Plant In Jharkhand

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. or BHEL said it had bagged a repeat order for Rs.640 crore from Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Ltd. for the main plant package of the second new-rating unit of 270 MW at its upcoming Thermal Power Project in Jharkhand.

The order for the first 270 MW unit of the same project has also earlier been placed on BHEL by the same client.

BHEL's scope of work in the present contract envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of Steam Turbine, Generator and Boiler, along with associated auxiliaries and electricals, besides controls & instrumentation and electrostatic precipitators.

BHEL said these equipment would be manufactured at its units in Haridwar, Trichy and Bangalore.
