Kensey Nash Q2 Profit Decreases; Reiterates FY10 Guidance

Kensey Nash Corp. (KNSY) reported that its second-quarter net income decreased to $3.66 million or $0.32 per share from $5.24 million or $0.44 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings per share were $0.43 compared to $0.44 prior year.

On average, 5 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.39 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues decreased to $19.07 million from $20.80 million a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $20.05 million for the quarter.

The company has reiterated its revenues and earnings guidance. Total revenues for fiscal 2010 are expected to be in the range of $79.0 million-$81.0 million. Adjusted earnings per share are expected to be in the range of $1.81-$1.85 and earnings per share are expected to be in the range of $1.70-$1.74.

The company is currently estimating that third quarter total revenues will be in the range of $19.5 million-$20.2 million. The company currently expects third quarter earnings per share in the range of $0.43-$0.45.
