Dan Resin, who was best known for playing Dr. Beeper in the 1980 comedy "Caddyshack," died last week at the age of 79.
The actor passed away last Friday in Oakland, N.J., of complications from Parkinson's disease, said his daughter, Elizabeth Olynick.
Resin began his career on and off-Broadway in the 1950s. He starred in such shows as "My Fair Lady" and "Once upon a Mattress." Following these roles, he started to appear in commercials, television shows and such films as "Caddyshack," "Wise Guys," "The Sunshine Boys" and "The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover."
Resin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret, two daughters, a brother and two sisters.
