The New Zealand dollar that declined to near a 5-week low of 0.7450 against the U.S. currency and near a 4-week low of 62.70 against the yen in early Asian deals on Monday recouped in the latter part of the session. As of now, the kiwi is worth 0.7520 against the greenback and 63.15 against the yen.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
