Mariah Carey has gotten engaged to her billionaire boyfriend James Parker, just seven months after the pair were first spotted together on a vacation in Italy.
"A close friend of Mr. Packer confirmed the couple were engaged and said they were over the moon that James has found such happiness with Mariah," an insider told CNN.
E! News reported that Parker popped the question in New York City on Thursday, January 21. Carey later flashed her engagement ring to a TMZ photographer. According to E!, the diamond "comes in at around 35 carats."
According to Forbes, Packer is Australia's fourth richest man, with a worth of about $3.5 billion.
It will be the third marriage for both Mimi and Parker.
