MeiraGTx Holdings Stock Falls 13% On Equity Offering And Asset Deal

MeiraGTx Holdings plc (MGTX) shares dropped 12.89% to $9.80, down $1.45 on Thursday over the company's newly announced equity offering, and a strategic asset acquisition.

The stock is currently trading at $9.80, below its previous close of $11.25 on the Nasdaq. It opened at $9.55 and has traded in a range of $8.77 to $10.05 during the session, with volume reaching 838,979 shares compared to an average of 503,356 shares.

The company announced it will acquire full rights to bota-vec from Johnson & Johnson for the treatment of X-linked retinitis pigmentosa, while also pricing an offering of 11.1 million shares at $9.00 per share to raise approximately $100 million.

The 52-week range for the stock is $4.55 to $11.85.
